Panorama 2015: A World-Class Event

Panorama 2015: A World-Class Event

June 2, 2015

If someone asked us to sum up NGC Panorama 2015 in just one word, it would have to be: “Wow!”

It was a world-class event in every way, surpassing our expectations. We were thrilled to see so many customers, partners, journalists and friends over a four-day period. We were especially pleased that so many customers traveled long distances to be with us; in all, we had attendees from the U.S. and around the world, including Canada, Australia, Asia and Mexico.

Panorama 2015 got off to a relaxed start, with a Monday evening reception on the Ritz-Carlton terrace overlooking the beautiful Fort Lauderdale beach. Once the conference sessions started Tuesday morning, we kept up a fast pace, starting with the opening keynote from Dr. Martin Regalia, chief economist with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and continuing with Paula Rosenblum, managing partner for Retail Systems Research, who shared her five predictions for the future of omnichannel retail. Tuesday’s keynote from Jerry Inman and Paula Levy of Demand Worldwide challenged attendees to start “thinking from the outside in” in order to reach the “retail rebels” and adapt to today’s new always-on, always-connected consumers.

The customer panel discussions and presentations were among the highlights of Panorama 2015, and we’d like to thank the many customers who worked hard to create compelling, informative case studies and presentations. Here are just a few of the many comments that stood out to us:

  • “One reason we love NGC is that we can’t afford to make a mistake. Everything we make has to be right.” Kurt Kreiser, Evy of California
  • “It’s time for the end of the marauding garmentos.” Colin Browne, VF Corp
  • “Implementation success comes in small bites.” KC Tolliver, Summit Resource International
  • “PLM showed us the processes we had that were broken.” Julie Lee and Katie Cotton, SPANX

In addition, Greg Bannister of Sport Obermeyer challenged conventional notions of software implementations when he told the audience how Sport Obermeyer implemented ERP and a warehouse management system in only three months, followed by PLM and SCM in rapid succession. It’s a tall order, but Greg showed us how it’s done! [[more]]

Of course, Panorama wouldn’t have been the same without the support of Dr. Mike Fralix as our moderator, as well as our partners at Logility, NuOrder, SKI, AptClarity and E-Spec. We appreciate your contributions!

However, the biggest “thank you” is reserved for all of our NGC customers that chose to spend the week with us. Your attendance, enthusiasm and active participation were the reasons that Panorama 2015 was a success, and we appreciate each and every one of you. Thanks to all of you who have provided feedback on our conference evaluation forms; your comments will help us create an even better Panorama next year.
