CIS has been designed to work as an integrated module
within TPM shop floor control System. This module provides
the functions for a plant-level inventory control system for
raw materials.
Piece goods, trims, and parts can be maintained at the factory level
with this comprehensive inventory control system. Raw materials
purchases are reflected in the inventory master, in addition to the
on hand balances. Both on-hand and on-order are considered in the
Materials Requirements Planning portion of the module. There are
no practical limits to the number of warehouse or physical locations
that can be maintained.
Piece goods "roll-control" can be maintained with a simple
switch at the item level. The system also accommodates an
unlimited number of Style Bill of Materials and these bills are used
to assist in planning the material
requirements for the plant level
production.
