The
EZ-SHIP software product creates bar-coded
UCC-128 Labels and Advanced Ship Notices (856). EZ-SHIP
is available as a module within the NGC-EDI System. It is also
available as a standalone NGC product, interfaced to a Host
computer using any other software system.

The EZ-SHIP software product creates bar-coded
UCC-128 Labels and Advanced Ship Notices (856). EZ-SHIP
is available as a module within the NGC-EDI System. It is also
available as a standalone NGC product, interfaced to a Host
computer using any other software system.
EZ-SHIP imports order data from any host
computer system. EZ-SHIP then creates Picking
Slips or it can use Pick Slips created on the host system. UPC
or other available bar-coded scanning insures carton packing
accuracy and provides verification of products on the picking
slip. EZ-SHIP produces UCC-128 labels at packing time which
comply with trading partner requirements.
During shipment loading, carton scanning verifies accurate
shipments to the customer. After shipment loading, the system
prepares the appropriate Bills of Lading, Manifests, and
tracking reports. EZ-SHIP then sends the 856
Advanced Ship Notice data to either the Host computer system,
the trading partner, or both
