MIAMI – Jan. 29, 2007 – New Generation
Computing® (NGC) today announced that Trade Masters LLC has
selected NGC’s RedHorse ERP software to help the company manage
its rapidly growing furniture import business. NGC, a wholly
owned subsidiary of American Software Inc. (NASDAQ: AMSWA), is a
market leader in product lifecycle management (PLM), global
sourcing and ERP software for the fashion, apparel, footwear and
furniture industries.
RedHorse will provide Trade Masters with a comprehensive
business management solution that includes order management,
import/production, accounting, inventory management and
exception reporting. As a current NGC customer, Trade Masters
successfully adapted an earlier NGC solution to run its case
goods importing business. However, with a growth rate of 40 to
50 percent annually, Trade Masters’ business has greatly
increased in complexity, with tighter deadlines, more SKUs and a
need for closer communication with overseas suppliers.
Trade Masters required a more robust ERP solution with flexible
reporting and querying functions, real-time communications,
expanded fields to handle more complex product information, and
dashboards for tracking key business goals. In addition, Trade
Masters wanted to launch a new “quick ship” program to enable
two-week shipment of containers. Trade Masters quickly realized
that RedHorse could meet its needs and help the company
transform its business.
“Trade Masters has enjoyed a strong working relationship with
NGC, and they have a very solid understanding of our business
needs,” said Greg Gapp, CFO, Trade Masters LLC. “We’re excited
about the capabilities of RedHorse, and its ability to help
enable our quick-ship program. With this program, we’ll be able
to ship products from China at a carton level within two weeks,
and mix multiple groups on one container – something that
separates Trade Masters from our competition.”
RedHorse will also support Trade Masters as the company expands
beyond wood bedroom furniture into other categories, including
stationary upholstery, casual wooden dining, mixed media dining,
and mattresses. RedHorse will enable Trade Masters to implement
new programs and more effectively track the increased number of
SKUs.
“RedHorse will be an essential solution for helping Trade
Masters launch critical new business initiatives, and it has the
agility and flexibility to support the company’s explosive
growth,” said Alan Brooks, president, NGC. “NGC is pleased to
continue our long-term working relationship with Trade Masters,
and we look forward to another successful implementation.”
